Varsha Vijayakumar (she/they) is a communications and human rights strategist who devotes their expertise to moving the needle on equity initiatives and catalyzing positive change. Varsha brings years of experience supporting student- and youth-led organizing efforts for racial and social justice, and seeks to empower minoritized communities in defending their rights. Prior to joining Bryson Gillette, Varsha crafted creative communications and digital strategy to amplify the crisis-driven work of Sakhi for South Asian Women, a prominent gender-based violence nonprofit in New York City. Varsha also served on the Emerging Leaders Advisory Board of Human Rights First, a leading international NGO focused on preserving human rights in the U.S. and abroad.
Outside of work, Varsha enjoys giving book recommendations, exploring vegan restaurants with her partner, and doting on her irresistibly cuddly cat.
