Floyd Brings 20 Years of C-Suite Executive Positioning, Impact Storytelling, and Media Relations Expertise
LOS ANGELES, C.A. — Bryson Gillette, the minority-owned strategic communications and public affairs firm founded by former Obama White House spokesman Bill Burton, today announced that Jade Floyd has joined the firm as Senior Vice President. Floyd brings two decades of experience building communications strategies for leading philanthropies, investment firms, sports organizations, entertainment and Fortune 500 executives.
Floyd joins Bryson Gillette from another leading public affairs agency where she served as Executive Vice President. Over her career, she has secured hundreds of high-profile media placements for C-suite leaders in outlets including the New York Times, CBS Morning News, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Fortune, Forbes, and Fast Company, and placed clients on major global stages including Forbes Women’s Summit, Wall Street Journal Future of Everything, Milken Global Conference, Fortune Most Powerful Women, and the World Congress of Sports.
Previously she was Vice President of Communications at a D.C. based venture capital firm with $3B AUM and the Case Foundation for nearly a decade. Floyd has received recognition including PR News People of the Year and the Washington Business Journal “40 Under 40.” She is the author of The Leadership Labyrinth: Women Navigating Power and Purpose in a Changing World and is an adjunct professor at George Washington University’s graduate school, where she teaches Social Impact Communications.
“We are at a moment of significant growth and expansion and Jade is exactly the kind of talent that defines where Bryson Gillette is headed,” said Bill Burton, Founding Partner and CEO. “Her ability to build strategy at the intersection of corporate, philanthropic, and impact-driven communications, and to tell those stories in a way that actually breaks through, makes her an invaluable addition to our clients and our firm.”
“Bryson Gillette is leading some of the most meaningful communications work in the country,” Floyd said. “The firm’s growth reflects the changing landscape for our industry as clients seek value- based and strategic guidance navigating our nation’s most complex problems. I couldn’t be more excited to be part of this new era.”
