What You’ll Do

  • Communicate clearly: You will lead on public affairs campaigns by developing and executing high-level strategic communications plans. You will discover and understand the needs and goals of each client and create a tailored communications approach for each. We pride ourselves on creating bespoke campaigns; we want you to be creative, responsive, and a strategic partner. You are an expert at writing a range of communications, including media advisories, talking points, proposals, op-eds, ad concepts, scripts, social media content, and other content.
  • Engage media: You will create and execute earned and paid media strategies. You know what makes a good story and how to communicate with reporters, which is something you hopefully have done in a previous role. Ideally you have existing relationships with reporters and editors or you have run paid campaigns or advocacy campaigns.
  • Lead and run campaigns: We pride ourselves on providing excellent service to our clients. You will lead numerous client teams, ensuring that long and short term goals are achieved and deadlines are met. You will manage multiple projects at once and ensure that no balls are dropped. To be successful, you’ll need to stay exceptionally organized and be comfortable managing up and down. 
  • Build relationships with stakeholders: It will be important for you to build relationships with clients, team members, and vendors, and to do so in a remote environment. Building rapport over the phone, zoom, and email is crucial. Upholding a strict level of confidentiality, while establishing and maintaining trusting and warm relationships both internally and externally is key.
  • Be a team player and grow: We are currently a mid-sized team but are continually growing. We have an all-hands-on-deck approach in a remote working environment. To be successful in this role, you will be comfortable working both independently and with teams.

    • At least 5-15 years of work experience in communications, in government, or public affairs

    Compensation & Benefits

    • The salary range for this position is an annual salary of $95,000 – $125,000. For clarity, this is the starting range for the position; it is not an indication that you are capped at that range once you’re in the position. 
    • Bryson provides insurance coverage for employees and their dependents, which includes fully paid monthly premiums for PPO medical, dental, and vision coverage. 
    • 401(k) Plan w/ Employer Match

      What You’ll Do

      • Be a project manager: We pride ourselves on providing excellent service to our clients. You will proactively manage day to day workflows across production and paid media projects, supporting pricing procurement and budgeting by collecting vendor quotes, preparing pricing sheets, assisting with budget tracking, and coordinating closely with internal teams to keep projects on schedule.
      • Manage production workflows and vendor coordination: Coordinate the creative approval process, organize feedback across multiple versions, manage asset delivery to vendors, and coordinate trafficking of paid media campaigns across digital and traditional platforms. You’ll coordinate production logistics and ensure all materials meet quality standards and deadlines. Additionally, you’ll coordinate directly with external partners, from production crews to freelance editors, ensuring quality, efficiency, and alignment with project goals and internal direction. 
      • Build relationships with stakeholders: It will be important for you to build relationships with clients, team members, and vendors, and to do so in a hybrid work environment. Building rapport in person, as well as over the phone, zoom, and email is crucial.             What You’ll Do

            • Be a project manager: We pride ourselves on providing excellent service to our clients. To do so successfully, you will be thoughtful, curious, strategic, and use good judgment. 
            • Communicate clearly: With guidance from senior team members, in both public affairs and paid media campaigns, you will write and craft a range of communications, including media advisories, talking points, proposals, op-eds, ad concepts, direct mail, scripts, social media content, and other content. You’ll review deliverables for clarity, accuracy, and quality, ensuring all work meets internal standards.

                What You’ll Do

                Strategic Oversight & Systemization:

                • Lead end-to-end creative development across formats — from longer-form storytelling to short-form “cut downs” (social, Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts).
                • Oversee concepting, scripting, and production, guiding creative teams and contractors from idea through final delivery.
                • Bridge strategy and production: translate campaign goals into creative briefs, provide clear direction to editors and motion designers, and ensure every asset supports broader campaign objectives.
                • Manage external creative partners — from production crews to freelance editors — ensuring quality, efficiency, and alignment with client goals.
                • Collaborate closely with paid media strategists to align creative direction with targeting, budget, and performance goals.
                • Stay ahead of digital and cultural trends — from platform shifts to new creative formats — and proactively bring fresh ideas to the team.
                • Bring a creative vision to new business proposals, helping to envision, design and sell overarching campaign concepts to prospective clients.
                • Be willing to teach and mentor the team around your expertise.

                Data & Analytics – Turning Insights Into Impact:

                • Monitor and interpret creative performance data across platforms to understand what’s resonating and why.
                • Design and evaluate A/B and multivariate creative tests.
                • Translate insights into creative action: adjust scripts, visuals, and copy based on audience engagement, retention, and conversion trends.
                • Partner with clients and internal teams to connect creative performance to campaign objectives and ROI.

                • Experience working across public affairs campaigns, nonprofits, political campaigns and private sector brands — or the ability to navigate those worlds confidently.
                • Comfort directing editors and creative contractors; you know how to communicate a clear creative vision and how to get the best out of collaborators.
                • Deep understanding of social and paid media performance metrics — and the ability to interpret results and optimize creative accordingly.
                • Experience designing and analyzing creative tests (A/B or multivariate) and iterating based on data.
                • Familiarity with analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Creative Center, Looker, Tableau).
                • A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills — you can translate creative ideas into strategy and strategy into visuals.

                      • Serve as a lead presenter in key pitches and client meetings—owning the room with clarity, conviction, and charisma. Drive new business success by shaping compelling creative responses to RFPs, leading brainstorms, and developing pitch narratives. 
                      • Cultivate strong relationships with clients—acting as a trusted advisor and creative champion for their brands. Identify and pursue opportunities to evolve and expand our creative offerings—particularly in emerging categories.

                      Content Creation & Systemization

                      • Lead end-to-end creative development across formats — from longer-form storytelling to short-form “cut downs” (social, Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts).
                      • Oversee concepting, scripting, and production, guiding creative teams and contractors from idea through final delivery.
                      • Bridge strategy and production: translate campaign goals into creative briefs, provide clear direction to editors and motion designers, and ensure every asset supports broader campaign objectives.
                      • Manage external creative partners — from production crews to freelance editors — ensuring quality, efficiency, and alignment with client goals.
                      • Collaborate closely with paid media strategists to align creative direction with targeting, budget, and performance goals.
                      • Stay ahead of digital and cultural trends — from platform shifts to new creative formats — and proactively bring fresh ideas to the team.
                      • Bring a creative vision to new business proposals, helping to envision, design and sell overarching campaign concepts to prospective clients.

                      Data & Analytics — Turning Insights Into Impact

                      • Monitor and interpret creative performance data across platforms to understand what’s resonating and why.
                      • Design and evaluate A/B and multivariate creative tests.
                      • Translate insights into creative action: adjust scripts, visuals, and copy based on audience engagement, retention, and conversion trends.
                      • Partner with clients and internal teams to connect creative performance to campaign objectives and ROI.
                      • Build or maintain performance dashboards to track creative outcomes and report learnings across clients.
                      • Stay fluent in analytics and ad platform tools and emerging creative optimization technologies.

                      What Skills and Experiences You’ll Bring

                      • Experience working across public affairs campaigns, nonprofits, political campaigns and private sector brands — or the ability to navigate those worlds confidently.
                      • Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate insights into creative platforms.
                      • Demonstrated success leading pitches and securing new business. 
                      • A dynamic presenter with executive-level client presence. 
                      • Highly collaborative and adaptable, with experience leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
                      • Comfort directing editors and creative contractors; you know how to communicate a clear creative vision and how to get the best out of collaborators.
                      • Deep understanding of social and paid media performance metrics — and the ability to interpret results and optimize creative accordingly.
                      • Experience designing and analyzing creative tests (A/B or multivariate) and iterating based on data.
                      • Familiarity with analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Creative Center, Looker, Tableau).
                      • A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills — you can translate creative ideas into strategy and strategy into visuals.
                      • Curiosity, adaptability, and an instinct for spotting cultural and digital trends before they go mainstream.

                      What Would Be Great to Bring

                      • Motion graphics or animation experience.
                      • Comfort with UX, landing page creative, or integrated digital storytelling.
                      • Experience producing for broadcast or linear TV.
                      • Fluency in multiple languages or experience creating multilingual content.
                      • Experience working on issues related to diversity, equity and inclusion, and/or social or racial justice advocacy 
                      • Client relationship experience

                      Compensation & Benefits

                      • The salary range for this position is an annual salary of $170 – 205k. For clarity, this is the starting range for the position; it is not an indication that you are capped at that range once you’re in the position.
