
Jillian Hegedus is a seasoned public affairs professional and former educator who specializes in strategic communications, team leadership, and building coalitions that drive meaningful change. At Elevate Public Affairs, Jillian developed comprehensive communications strategies for energy companies, startups, nonprofits, and government entities. She led crisis communications efforts, secured hundreds of media placements in local and national outlets, and managed internal teams across several client accounts. Prior to Elevate, Jillian served as vice president of client services at JCI Public Affairs, where she successfully managed statewide advocacy campaigns on a variety of issues, while building and developing the JCI team.
Jillian’s diverse background also includes serving as assistant program manager for USC Shoah Foundation’s Dimensions in Testimony program, where she managed Holocaust survivor interview production and developed post-production workflow and training for global partners. She began her career as a Teach for America corps member, teaching 7th and 8th grade English and U.S. History in her hometown of Houston, Texas. Jillian is a proud Coro SoCal Women in Leadership alum.
Jillian lives in Los Angeles with her two dogs, Spud and Mochi, and enjoys watching the Dodgers, running, hiking, and telling everyone who will listen why Los Angeles is the greatest city in the world. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Middle Eastern Media Communication and Arabic Studies from Texas A&M University and a masters degree in Public Diplomacy from the University of Southern California. On the weekends, you can find her at the dog park playing fetch with Spud and trying to convince Mochi that dog parks are fun.
