Kelly is a seasoned political strategist and communications expert with 20 years of experience in political consulting at LHKK, HG Creative, and Stronger Than Comms. She has played a pivotal role in shaping campaigns at the local, state, and national levels, specializing in issue advocacy and electoral politics. Kelly has successfully worked to elect leading Congressmembers including Kendra Horn – during her historic win in 2018 – Tom Suozzi, and Patrick Murphy. She has led paid communications for Medicaid expansion victories in Oklahoma, Missouri, and South Dakota and has been on the front lines of abortion rights battles in Kentucky and Nebraska. Kelly has been a key strategist for some of the nation’s most influential Independent Expenditure campaigns, including EMILY’s List Women Vote, HMP, and 314 Action. Outside of politics, she has produced two half-hour documentaries for The Nature Conservancy, blending her communications expertise with impactful storytelling on environmental issues.
Kelly lives in Takoma Park, Maryland, with her two boys, and her forever partner Caleb. Originally from Buffalo, she is undyingly #BillsMafia and brings that level of table-breaking fandom to her kids’ sporting events — much to their embarrassment.
